Auriga Services picked up the inaugural Sutton Coldfield Business of the Year award last night at a glittering ceremony held jointly by the Sutton Coldfield and Lichfield & Tamworth Chambers.
More than 250 people were at The Belfry for the inaugural New Year Business Dinner, which was sponsored by HSBC.
Three awards were handed out, with the Sutton Coldfield prize going to assistance fund and trust management firm Auriga Services.
IT and cloud specialists First Class Technologies picked up the Lichfield Business of the Year award, while Tamworth’s Business of the Year accolade was shared by liquid adhesive, sealant, coating and primer manufacturers Apollo Chemicals and family restaurant and catering service Roasters of Tamworth.
Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce chief operating officer Russell Jeans, who led the awards judging panel, said: “This is the first time we have handed out individual awards in Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield and Tamworth.
“The high calibre of entries for all three categories offered a great reminder of the quality of businesses in these parts of the region. Picking the winners certainly proved to be a difficult task for the judges.
“The inaugural New Year Business Dinner was a resounding success and hopefully it will go on to become an important part of the Greater Birmingham business calendar.”
