The inaugural winners of the Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield and Tamworth Business of the Year awards were revealed at the Chambers’ New Year business dinner last night.
More than 250 people were at The Belfry for the HSBC-sponsored event, which was held jointly by the Sutton Coldfield and Lichfield & Tamworth Chambers of Commerce.
The Sutton Coldfield Business of the Year award was scooped by assistance fund and trust management firm Auriga Services Limited.
IT and cloud specialists First Class Technologies picked up the Lichfield Business of the Year award, while Tamworth’s Business of the Year accolade was shared by liquid adhesive, sealant, coating and primer manufacturers Apollo Chemicals and family restaurant and catering service Roasters of Tamworth.
GBCC chief operating officer Russell Jeans, who led the awards judging panel, said: "This is the first time we have handed out individual awards in Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield and Tamworth.
"The high calibre of entries for all three categories offered a great reminder of the quality of businesses in these parts of the region. Picking the winners certainly proved to be a difficult task for the judges.
"The inaugural New Year Business Dinner was a resounding success and hopefully it will go on to become an important part of the Greater Birmingham business calendar."
