Tackling the region’s skills gap is set to be the focus of the next Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce Quarterly Business Report briefing event.
Clair Mowbray (pictured), chief executive of the National High Speed College for Rail, will be among the speakers at the event, which takes place at Birmingham City University’s Curzon Building on 16 January, 2018 (7.30am to 9.30am).
As well as launching the report for Q4, the event will provide a lively discussion on bridging Greater Birmingham’s skills gap.
Paul Faulkner, GBCC chief executive, said: “We often hear about how our region is experiencing a renaissance and resurgence of growth and confidence.
“This event will explore how public and private bodies can tackle ingrained skills gaps and boost productivity levels across the region.”
The Quarterly Business Report offers an up to date snapshot of the performance of the Greater Birmingham business community.
Our flagship economic publication, it is the most comprehensive regular report of its kind in the region.
Meanwhile, Adrian Murphy from International Synergies was the winning respondent from our survey for Q4 and will receive tickets to the Cinderella pantomime at Birmingham’s Hippodrome.
Each quarter, respondents are entered into a draw to win a special prize.
