Businesses can learn more about how to reap the benefits of diversity and inclusion in the workplace at a Chamber business growth seminar.
Diversity and inclusion specialist Baljit Kaur (pictured) will be addressing Chamber members at the event at Aston Wood Golf Club near Sutton Coldfield on 29 November (8.30am to 10.30am).
The HSBC-sponsored event will include an interactive session that aims to stimulate conversation on how diversity and inclusion can lead to greater productivity in the workplace.
Baljit, who has extensive experience in both the public and private sector, delivers training and consultancy services across a range of diversity and inclusion subject matters such as inclusive leadership, unconscious bias, talent management, reasonable adjustments, banter at work and more.
As a board member of Midlands Women in Banking & Finance and steering group member of East Midlands Advisory, Conciliation & Arbitration Service (ACAS), Baljit is keen to see organisations anchor diversity and inclusivity in their corporate culture and talent management approaches.
She said: “I’m looking forward to facilitating discussions on issues relating to diversity and inclusion on.
“The session will be highly interactive and we will explore the topical issues of race, mental health, and culture fit to name a few.
“Through the stimulation of conversation we will enable collective learning and the sharing of organisational good practice.
“Our experience at Innate Consultancy tells us that connecting with participants in this unique way corresponds with a greater shift in mindset and behaviours leading to more authentic and meaningful change within organisations.”
