Two Sutton Coldfield businesses have described how success at the Chamber’s awards gave them increased exposure and recognition.
Video production firm Ark Media and multi-academy trust the Arthur Terry Learning Partnership won Sutton Coldfield Small Business and Large Business of the Year respectively at the 2019 Sutton Coldfield and Lichfield & Tamworth Chambers of Commerce awards.
And with the deadline fast approaching to enter the 2020 awards, both have spoken about the profile boosts gained from their successes.
Ark Media gained increased exposure on social media following their award win – with one LinkedIn post achieving more than 10,000 views.
Managing director Phil Arkinstall said: “The ARK media team were really excited by this award win.
“It was a really good motivator for the team. We were really pleased to be nominated for the award and we maximised our exposure off the back of that.
“We put out lots of social media posts and got a lot of engagement on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.
“After the win, it was even better. We had 10,000 views on a post we put out on LinkedIn about winning the award.
“We reinvigorated a lot of old connections – people we hadn’t heard from in a while – and I really believe it has given us a stepping stone to bigger and better projects.”
Ark Media also produced a video for Large Business of the Year winners, the Arthur Terry Learning Partnership.
Anna Newson, head of PR and communications at the ATLP, said success at the Chamber awards helped to highlight the trust’s Decade of Difference campaign which marked 10 years of school-to-school support.
She said: “This year is ATLP’s Decade of Difference, a celebration of 10 years of school-to-school support, which is why we so thrilled that our contribution to the region was recognised at the Sutton Coldfield Chamber of Commerce’s 2019 awards.
“Fellow award-winners and Chamber members, ARK Media, kindly produced a video charting our win. This offer is a typical example of the generosity we see from likeminded members and we are grateful for their support.
“Since joining the Chamber in 2016, we have made so many useful connections, raised our profile, and even scooped the Sutton Coldfield Large Business of the Year award. It’s been a valuable, reciprocal partnership and one that will only keep on giving.”
The deadline for nominations for the Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield and Tamworth 2020 awards is 22 November at 5pm.
