Charity urges businesses to get involved with annual fundraiser

11 February 2019

Birmingham businesses are being urged to take part in the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation's annual fundraiser, Big Yellow Friday.

The charity, based in Birmingham, is hosting an afternoon reception, 12 February, to raise awareness about the fundraising event.

At the event, which will be attended by the Lord Mayor, Councillor Yvonne Mosquito, members of the business community can meet staff from the charity which operates throughout the UK, and find out how easy it is to get involved in Big Yellow Friday.

Alison Taylor (pictured), chief executive of Children’s Liver Disease Foundation, said: "We know that many businesses like to support a local charity but obviously they want to know what’s involved and how that money would be spent.

“Although we are one of the few charities based in the city centre, most companies know very little about us. This is an opportunity for the business community to find out how they can support a unique, locally based cause in a fun and easy way.

"And, of course, it will be a great networking event in a fabulous venue!”

The Big Yellow Friday reception will take place at the Lost & Found in Birmingham city centre on 12 February from 4 – 7pm.
