A Sutton Coldfield marketing agency has picked up what must be its most unusual client – a property investment firm based more than 6,000 miles away in Cambodia.
The Cambodian firm is Invest Asian, founded by whizzkid Reid Kirchenbauer, who, by his mid-20s, could speak several languages and owned more than a dozen properties.
Invest Asian, as the name suggests, invests in property in Asia – but for a brochure about one of the firm’s offshoots, Khmer Ventures, Mr Kirchenbauer chose to hire an agency based on the other side of the world.
That was Edge Creative, based in a quiet corner of Sutton Coldfield.
Louise Panayides (pictured), Edge’s founder and creative director, said: “We were delighted to receive a web enquiry from Cambodia to work with Reid on his financial based marketing project.
"As this is a core sector of expertise for us, we were able to demonstrate our ability to meet all the objectives to win the contract. It has been a pleasure working with Reid Kirchenbauer and getting to understand the frontier market better.
“On reflection, the project has been a huge success and I am proud to say that as a fully integrated agency we were able to add value along the way by further developing the Khmer Venture Fund brand through additional services such as copywriting, infographics, specialist print and an a interactive PDF. All packaged up and shipped to Cambodia on time.”
Ms Panayides said that Mr Kirchenbauer had used Edge rather than a more local firm because “he was impressed with Edge’s previous work for similar clients in the finance sector. He wanted an agency that understood the complexities of the financial industry and somewhere that could assist with the creation process of the brochure.”
Mr Kirchenbauer said: “Edge Creative has done an excellent job thus far. Originally, we planned on hiring them simply to create a brochure. Yet they have been able to help us in many other ways such as copywriting, graphic design, and printing.”
