Welcome to the ABCC newsletter

Hello and welcome to the first Asian Business Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) newsletter of the year.

The start to the year wasn't exactly the fresh start I'm sure we all hoped for, with more lockdown news causing more plight for businesses and communities across the region and country.

However, there is light at the end of this harrowing, dark tunnel. The nationwide vaccine roll out is ramping up, providing fresh hope of a return to normalcy.

Unfortunately though we've been hearing of numerous false rumours and misinformation being spread in our community on the vaccine, claiming it is unsafe and discouraging some from taking the vaccine when being offered.

Established, trustworthy health sources and professionals have confirmed time and time again that the Covid vaccines are safe. It is imperative that as many people as possible take the vaccine, in order to stop the spread of this horrific disease and the intense damage on our economy and businesses.

Where you can, do encourage your colleagues, friends and family to take the vaccine if they are offered the chance to do so.

Despite strict lockdown measures, and some grants and support for businesses now being made available by Government, support for firms has fallen short again.

We're urging the Chancellor to Back Our Businesses, and provide urgent support to those most impacted by lockdown measures.

Produced by Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, the campaign has a number of proposed measures which we are urging Government to action now.
