Awarding organisation celebrates anniversary with board game launch

A national awarding organisation has marked its 35th anniversary, by launching a board game.

Open College Network released its Leadership Board Game, a team-based education tool that allows participants to identify their leadership knowledge and behaviour, at an event held at Hotel du Vin in Birmingham.

The board game, created in partnership with The Governance Forum (TGF), is part of the organisation’s Leadership Framework, which sets out seven steps to being an effective leader.

Dr Karl George MBE, managing director of TGF and an author, international consultant, conference speaker and community champion, created the board game and demonstrated it to attendees at the event.

Delegates also heard from Open College Network’s chief executive Christine Assheton, chair of the Board of Trustees Chris Morecroft , Mark Tonks and Professor Ronder Mann, who gave insights into the value and importance of good leadership in challenging times.

Open College Network work with employers, training providers, colleges, universities, schools and voluntary and community organisations to offer vocational credit-based qualifications, Access to Higher Education Diplomas and quality assured Customised Accreditation which helps individuals gain employment or progress into further learning and Higher Education.
