Comprehensive coverage of Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC) Businesses Awards is included in the August/September edition of Chamberlink, which is currently being distributed to members.

Both Business of the Year Excitation, engineers to the power and generation industry, and Jaguar Land Rover, who received the President’s Award, are featured along with all of the 12 category winners.
The ceremony, which included entertainment, took place in a hugely popular online ceremony featuring hosts replete in evening dress. This partly replicated the traditional ceremony and dinner which usually takes place at the ICC in central Birmingham.
Plans are already advanced for the dinner and awards to return to the ICC next year on Thursday, 1 April.
Chamberlink editor John Lamb said: “The magazine is its usual in-depth round-up of Chamber activities but we are aware that businesses that have it delivered to their place of work may not be picking it up in the usual way.
“However, Chamberlink is available in an easy-to-read format on the website and can be seen by clicking going to www.greaterbirminghamchambers.com.”
Other features include an interview with Jason Wouhra, who, along with his father Jas, has retaken charge of East End Foods’ wholesale business. There is also an interview with Nasir Awan, another head of one of the largest wholesale businesses in the UK, who is the newly-appointed junior vice-president of the Chamber.
Chamberlink will now be returning to production 10 times a year from October – five months earlier than expected.
Said Lamb: “We planned for getting back into monthly production by February next year but our publishers, Kemps, have made a swift recovery from the impact of the Covid-19 crisis and we are able to return to our normal schedule.”
