A key speaker at this month’s Quarterly Business Report Q3 Briefing, which focuses on innovation, is Simon Strothers (pictured), director of 3P Innovation.
Simon joined 3P Innovation in 2013, and has helped the firm achieve considerable growth during that time. He is an experienced manufacturing and management consultant, working previously at packaging specialists Molins and Colins Aerospace.
3P was founded in 2006 by a group of like-minded engineers who had a passion for innovation.
The company works across multiple sectors, and its specialists have been named on more 300 patents across a broad range of products and industries.
This year, the company won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation for its pioneering Fill2Weight technology.
Fill2Weight addressed the challenge of getting powders to flow and dispense accurately for pharmaceutical and medical device products.
This was achieved by combining several different technologies in one solution, creating a highly innovative system that was capable of filling practically any powder into a very diverse range of containers.
At the Chamber event, on 24 September (8am – 9.15am) Mr Strothers will be speaking about the importance of embracing innovation in a bid to stimulate an economic recovery.
This event will be the third Quarterly Business Report webinars, with the first two attracting more than 300 attendees.
The Quarterly Business Report offers an up to date snapshot of the performance of the business community in Birmingham and the surrounding area.
The first event covered the steps that businesses were putting in place to deal with the fallout from coronavirus, and the second focused on the first steps to recovery after lockdown.
The upcoming event will focus on the role that innovation and technology can play in helping to stimulate an economic recovery.
The event is free to both members and non-members. For further information go to https://www.greaterbirminghamchambers.com/networking-events/events-calendar/listing/quarterly-business-report-q3-briefing-breakfast-innovation-in-greater-birmingham/details
