A leading BBC Midlands Today broadcaster is to host the Chamber’s online awards ceremony next week.
Amy Cole (pictured) has been confirmed as host for the virtual event, which takes place on Tuesday 27 July (7pm to 8.30pm).
Amy has been a presenter and news reporter at the BBC for 17 years – spending seven of those working for BBC Midlands Today.
She grew up in Devon but has made Birmingham her home.
She said: “I am very much looking forward to hosting Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce annual awards.
“During the pandemic we've seen just how important it is to have a thriving economy and what happens when it is severely impacted.
“We need to find a way back to growth and I firmly believe that supporting our local businesses is fundamental when it comes to protecting jobs and livelihoods.
“That's why I'm honoured to be a part of this special ceremony.”
The event is sponsored by Birmingham City University and Inspired Energy and supported by partners Birmingham City Council.
Twelves sector awards will be handed out on the night, as well as the overall Greater Birmingham Business of the Year.
Today, Chamberlink Daily’s sector focus continues with a look at the Excellence in Responsible Business award, sponsored by Finpoint.
