Birmingham-headquartered communications consultancy, Liquid, will be opening a new office in Brisbane, Australia, following its incorporation of Liquid Australia.

Succeeding a period of strong international operations and growing client demand in the region, Liquid moves ahead with its international business approach and expansion plans.

The creative consultancy already operates in 26 jurisdictions and will take on new opportunities through the Brisbane office.

Liquid Australia will support international and UK clients expanding into the Australian market, as well as Australia based companies looking to strengthen their operations in Europe.

Supporting Liquid in the restructuring of the business and setting up in Queensland are the Birmingham and Brisbane branches of Grant Thornton.

Hollie Jones, senior account director at Liquid, will head up a small team from Birmingham, who will be working in Brisbane to complete the set up.

Once established, Liquid Australia will be offering job opportunities and internships for local talent, as well as secondments to their team both in the UK and Australia.

Liquid 's Chief Executive Officer, Elisabeth Lewis-Jones, said: “We are very excited to announce Liquid Australia, our expansion down under, and increase our global footprint. The Brisbane office will allow us to support our UK based clients in new ventures as well as welcome a whole new roster of clients to the Liquid family.

“I 'd like to extend my thanks to the teams at Brisbane Economic Development Agency and Queensland Trade and Investment, who have offered incredible support and made our landing in Australia stress free. I 'd also like to thank and praise Birmingham Chamber of Commerce for the role they 've had in supporting our international growth. ”

Warren Bartlett, deputy commissioner and director, Investment for Europe at Queensland Trade and Investment, said: “We are happy to see Liquid making the move to Queensland, the fastest growing economy in Australia, and look forward to welcoming them to the local business community. ”

Anthony Ryan, CEO of Brisbane Economic Development Agency, said: “I am delighted to have had a hand in the establishment of Liquid Australia in Brisbane. With the city set to host the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Liquid is joining our community at the start of a very exciting time. I very much look forward to seeing how Liquid will blossom in the new environment. ”

Liquid started its international expansion 11 years ago when it acquired offices in Jersey and Guernsey and has continued to grow its international client base working with clients globally, including Canada, Luxembourg, Hong Kong and Australia.

The consultancy recently joined the World Communications Forum Association as a corporate member, following a sustained period of international recognition as the consultancy was named global 'Large Consultancy of the Year ' in PRCA 's international Platinum Awards for 2022.
