An upcoming Chamber webinar will share insights on how individuals in the Greater Birmingham business community to volunteer as an enterprise adviser to a Birmingham school or college.

The webinar, Get Involved with Careers Education, on 14 July, features representatives from the Birmingham Careers Hub.

It will feature information on how individuals can support the next generation, raise organisational profile among the future workforce and boost their own experience, by volunteering with a school or college in Birmingham to support local careers education.

The webinar will also feature the insights of business representatives currently volunteering as local enterprise advisors on their experiences of supporting local educators in the development and implementation of their careers strategies, ensuring that all students are prepared and inspired for the fast-changing world of work.

Emily Stubbs (pictured), senior policy and projects manager at Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, said: “Birmingham is one of the youngest cities in Europe, and we know from our research that employers in the region are passionate about supporting the next generation to access everything the city-region has to offer.

“This webinar is a fantastic opportunity to find out more about volunteering with a local school or college to give back to the local community and make a real difference to young people 's lives - while raising organisational profile and personal experience. ”
