Law firm announces new promotion
Amardeep Gill, partner at international law firm Trowers & Hamlins, has been named as the firm's new national head of public sector.
Amardeep takes over from Scott Dorling who was in the post for five years. Scott has lead the public sector team through a period of sustained growth in each of the firm's centres of excellence in the Midlands, the North West, the South West and in London.
Scott will continue to play an integral role across the team and its nationwide expansion plans and will focus particularly on the firm's regeneration and public sector housing delivery objectives.
Amardeep has extensive experience in advising government and public bodies on business critical or transformation projects.
In recent years, Amardeep has been involved in advising on landmark projects such as the delivery of the Commonwealth Games 2022 and Transport for West Midlands' 5G pathfinder connectivity project (a first in the UK).
He has contributed to a number of initiatives designed to improve the delivery of public services and inputted into the sector's policy agenda, including working alongside The Centre for the New Midlands on the development of future devolution plans across the UK.
Amardeep is recognised nationally by Chambers as a leading individual in the sector and has a tier one ranking in Legal 500 for his local government work, where he is acknowledged for his 'astute legal mind, and a skillset to match his personality'.
