Join fellow 1813 and Premier members for an exemplary Tyseley Energy Park (TEP) visit. There will be a presentation, tour and insight into opportunities Tyseley Energy Park has to offer for the businesses in attendance.
Situated on the site of one of the oldest companies in Birmingham, Tyseley Energy Park is set to become the
energy, waste and transport nexus for the city of Birmingham, showing how novel energy technologies can
form an innovative industrial ecology.
The site is home to an Energy Innovation Zone (EIZ) that will help Tyseley and Birmingham overcome the
severe energy business and social challenges it currently faces. These include electricity grid constraints, poor
air quality, unemployment and having one of the worst cases of energy poverty in the UK.
The TEP Site comprises of:
• 10MW Waste Wood Biomass Power Plant
• The UK’s first low and zero carbon refuelling station
• Birmingham Energy Innovation Centre
• Incubation space to support SME’s drive the commercialisation of innovative energy products and
services.
• Space for a proposed National Centre for the Decarbonisation of Heat (NCDH)
