Who is this course suitable for?
This course would be suitable for any team member that are new to their role, or less experienced working in an International Trade environment and would like and introduction on Import processes.
The course will provide an excellent opportunity to understand the basic import processes before moving on to any further import learning at a more advance level.
The course would also be a suitable to attend for any new importer, or someone who has not had any formal training.
We at the Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce recommend this as a suitable place to begin training, along with the Beginners practical guide to Export course, if further training is planned.
Each course will provide a clear and concise overview, teaching knowledge of International Trade from the very beginning.
What does the delegate gain?
Attendees will be learning a simplified overview of the Import Procedures.
You will gain knowledge and understanding on terminology used in an import role and understand why import procedures must be correctly actioned.
The course also includes a practical session creating clearance instructions from a pre-defined set of documents to assist delegates in putting their learnings into practice.

This training course is part of a series of activity being delivered by Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, Black Country Chamber of Commerce and Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the West Midlands Combined Authority.
This means there are a number of fully funded places available on this course.
The duration of the session is 3 hours. Session 1 is 9.30am – 12.30pm and session 2 1.30pm – 4.30pm.

*Any cancellations must be confirmed via email to firstname.lastname@example.org and must be given within 5 working days clear of the original event date. For any cancellations given less than 5 working days before the event, fees will not be refunded. This also counts for non-attendance. If the course is due to run again in the future, delegates can opt to transfer to the next available date. A £50 fee will still be issued to cover the costs already incurred.
