EVENT DESCRIPTION

Who is this course suitable for?

This course is suitable for anyone who is new to their Export role and would like a clear and concise overview of the export process.

This course would also be ideal for a less experienced staff member who is either new to International trade or who hasn’t had any formal training.
The Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce recommends this to be a suitable place to begin a training journey if you are wanting to attend multiple courses.

This would be an excellent course to sit before attending our British Chamber accredited ‘understanding export & export documentation’ as this will provide the first instalment of knowledge from the very beginning.

What does the delegate gain?

The attendee will be learning how to create a commercial invoice correctly from the practical session that occurs on the day, it will show the attendee how to do this from a pre-defined set of documents.
The attendee will gain knowledge and understanding on terminology used in an export role and understand why export procedures must be correctly actioned.

What happens on the course and what is taught?

As well as the practical session, attendees will also learn and discuss the following:

o Export definition and the Process Flow
o Questions to ask Prior to Sending Goods Overseas
o Requesting a Shipment Quotation
o Export Documentation
o Packing Lists and Labels
o Creating an Invoice – Practical Session
o Booking and Managing the Shipment Collection
o Buyer / Customer Communication
o Proof of Export / Delivery
o The Jargon Explained
