This event is part of our Festival of Business campaign, throughout the month of June.
Cyber security poses a serious threat to businesses of all size and in every sector. In the last year, 39% of business reported a cyber security breach or attack, with over half experiencing an attack at least once a month.
Join Chamber Patron, Air IT and the IASME Consortium to hear about the practical steps your organisation can take to reduce its risk of attack by up to 80% by implementing the Government backed Cyber Essentials scheme. They’ll cover:
Andrew Penlington, Regional Director, Air IT Birmingham
Andrew Penlington is Regional Director of Managed IT and communications service provider, Air IT. With its own specialist division in cyber security, Air IT is an IASME accredited Certification Body for the Cyber Essentials scheme as endorsed by the UK Government.
With over 20 years’ experience, Andrew has developed a deep understanding of the IT and communication sector, providing strategic advice and guidance to SMEs in the West Midlands and beyond on the secure and efficient use of technology.
Chris Pinder, Chief Operating Officer, IASME
Chris Pinder has over 20 years’ experience in the wider security industry. Here, he worked for the sector trade body and the industry inspectorate. His roles have included promoting innovative UK security solutions to an international audience.
Chris made the move into cyber security 6-years ago when he was appointed security lead for the Worcestershire Growth Hub.
Chris is now IASME’s Chief Operating Officer. In April 2020, IASME became the National Cyber Security Centre’s (NCSC) Cyber Essentials Partner responsible for the delivery of their ever-popular Cyber Essentials scheme.
