Decarbonisation refers to the measures through which an organisation reduces its carbon footprint in relation to greenhouse gases, carbon dioxide emissions and methane in order to reduce its impact on the climate. Decarbonisation is a central aspect to achieving net zero by 2040 which is a commitment that the UK Government has made. As a result, sectors such as energy, transport and construction are going to have to play a big role considering their current role in emissions.
This event will discuss the key issues facing different sectors in decarbonising and will help businesses from across key sectors such as transport, energy and manufacturing understand their role in the UK moving towards net zero, and highlight how their operations can be adjusted to become more environmentally friendly.
