Speaker: Liz Mckenzie
Educated as a Production Engineer, Liz spent 19 years at Toyota, in roles all around manufacturing, until deciding to take the plunge and completely change sector to Financial Services. 7 years at Wesleyan Assurance Society, a nationwide mutual life insurer, based in Birmingham, saw Liz become Chief Operating Officer and main Board member. Now, time to change again, Liz is moving into a portfolio career of Non-Executive Director roles and is a Board member of the Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce.
Liz’s session will be focused on leadership style, particularly around ‘Why I hate the F-Word’. We’ll also talk about some techniques for developing a learning culture, a culture that encourages self believe and continuous improvement, skills that are valuable in everyone's toolkit.
