Who is this course suitable for?
This course would follow on well for anyone that has attended the course Customs procedures & documentation. The course is aimed at anyone who works in import from a beginner with no formal training to the more experienced import staff member looking to refresh and update their knowledge.
It would also work as a stand-alone course for those who have not attended any BCC training courses before but are looking for guidance on imports and special procedures.
What does the delegate gain?
Providing the delegate completes and passes the short assessment questions sent to them at the end of the course, (delegates have a week to complete this) the course gains them 2 modules towards the Foundation award in International trade – a nationally recognised qualification issued from the British Chambers of commerce.
To gain the foundation award, each delegate must attend and pass a total of 6 modules from the 11 BCC accredited modules.
There are 8 courses to choose from in total.
As well as the opportunity to gain this achievement, the delegate will take away with them invaluable skills and knowledge to implement in their role within their company.
What happens on the course and what is taught?
The second half of the course covering inward and outward processing is suitable for those who work in international trade who require specific training on Customs Special Procedures. The first half of the course does cover enough for the delegate to complete the whole day.
This course will also provide an insight into business solutions post Brexit for those who currently only purchase from or use processing facilities in the EU.
Import procedures:
You will gain an overview of the end-to-end import process and all areas applicable. You will look at supplier risk, country risk, payment risk and learn about duty payments.
Other areas explored are:
Inward & outward processing:
