EVENT DESCRIPTION

Over time, International Women’s Day has evolved and now each year, thousands of events are held throughout the world to recognise the progress that has been made, to inspire women and to celebrate their achievements.

We invite you to join us in celebrating women’s achievements locally, nationally and internationally.

The event is expected to attract a wide range of businesses from across the region and it will provide an excellent opportunity to meet fellow members and enjoy a vibrant evening of networking in a relaxed atmosphere.

This event is open to women and men.

Speakers: 

Eman Al-Hillawi:

Originally a Biochemist with a naturally curious, analytical and investigative mind, Eman spent the past 2-3 decades working tirelessly to develop into an exceptional business and change consultant. With experience that has been born out of the delivery of multi-million-pound projects and programmes across public and private sectors, she continues to support our clients in designing and implementing transformation and change.

In her role as CEO, Eman is keen to ensure that Entec Si’s values and ethos are truly reflected in everything the organisation does. Entec Si’s growth journey has been and continues to be focused on the development and growth of the team to be the best in the industry, which ultimately serves to secure the necessary outcomes for their clients.

As well as loving flying fixed wing aircraft as a private pilot, Eman's other interests include running, indoor climbing, and drawing and painting with watercolours.

Rebecca Mander:

Up until a few years ago, founder of GuruYou™- Rebecca Mander, was Managing Director of a large organisation, when she sadly lost one of her children, Charlie. Rebecca understands first-hand what it is to need to look and act the part, when internally you are falling apart.

Motivated by her experiences, she trained as an Executive Coach in is now a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management, specialising in helping senior leaders through setbacks, 

Rebecca’s clients include some of the Top 50 Law firms in the UK and she is highly valued for her straightforward and honest approach with compassion and understanding in a sector that brings great stress and challenge to it’s employees. Her 15-year experience at board level teamed with her accredited skills in executive coaching make a winning combination for those in professional roles whose private and professional lives are affected by personal setback.

Sara Wajid:

 

Sara is Co-CEO alongside Zak Mensah – this job-share CEO partnership is a first in the museum sector and signals Birmingham Museum Trust’s commitment to inclusive working practices.

Sara was formerly Head of Engagement at Museum of London and Head of Interpretation at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery in 2017. Before working in museums she was a cultural commentator, journalist and editor.

She is a trustee of the Pitt Rivers Museum, a judge of the Museum Activism award, a member of the Museum Detox network for people of colour in museums and an active advocate for diversity and equality issues in the arts.
