We're excited to invite our 1813 members to an exclusive networking and wine tasting evening at the recently opened Loki Wines in Edgbaston. The event will be an excellent opportunity for our 1813 members to make some useful connections and network amongst other 1813 club members.
Loki Wine opened the first store in Great Western Arcade in 2012, and has gone on to be the most awarded wine merchant in the UK in the last 6 years, recently winning the prestigious International Wine Challenge Awards UK Wine Merchant of the year for the second time in a row. Recently Loki have opened their second store in leafy Edgbaston, near the Chamber of Commerce with the aim to continue to be a high quality wine merchant and wine bar, but also adding a full deli offering and the addition of beer on draft and spirits by the glass. The aim of Loki is to make wine more accessible to people, and demystify wine making it less stuffy, creating a relaxed environment for people to socialise and enjoy wine.
The wine tasting session will be hosted by Loki Wines owner Phil Innes. Phil started Loki back in 2012, when the Birmingham wine scene was pretty bare. Since then, he's been focused on bringing the finest, rarest and most interesting varietals to the city.
