The Quarterly Business Report offers an up-to-date snapshot of the performance of the Greater Birmingham business community. Our flagship economic publication, it is the most comprehensive regular report of its kind in the city-region. Underpinning our report is data gathered from quarterly surveys completed by businesses from across the Greater Birmingham area. This online webinar will launch our QBR Report for Q1 2023.

It has been an extraordinary twelve months, with the cost of doing business crisis at the forefront of the economic landscape throughout. Q1 was no different in this respect, with issues such as labour market challenges, rising prices and supply chain disruption central to many aspects explored in the report, but with some positive sentiments beginning to emerge as businesses have successfully adapted to the challenges they’ve faced. We at the Chamber have been committed to Keep Business Moving by helping to connect, support and grow local businesses in Greater Birmingham throughout this uncertain time, and the intelligence gained from the QBR surveys is invaluable to helping us to meet this aim. After a review of the latest GBCC Quarterly Business Report results, this event will explore how investment in the region can play a role in enabling the business environment to thrive and respond to these changes.
