EVENT DESCRIPTION

Who is this course suitable for?

If you are an agent shipping goods or providing the supporting documents this course would benefit you. The aim for this course is for smoother inter EU transits, better compliance and working smarter with your supply chains.

This course is targeted at those wanting to continue learning and developing additional supply chain effectiveness.

We do recommend delegates have attended a beginner’s guide to export & Customs procedures prior to booking. If you haven’t attended either but have working knowledge on the below, talk to us today to find out if this course is for you.

The course was designed for Freight Forwarders, customs brokers, hauliers, and logistics providers moving goods that require transit documentation.

It is also designed for those new to submitting a transit declaration and wanting to understand the New Computerised Transit System.

What happens on the course and what is taught?

Topics covered:

  • Introduction to Transit & transit documentation Procedures
  • Understanding Union Transit and Common Transit
  • Your role and responsibilities when working with HMRC and supporting offices.
  • What is NCTS, where can we access it.
  • How to raise and complete a T1 transit document
  • Each box explained. Offices of departure & discharge explained
  • How to make amendments on a T1.
  • The Implications of Transit within the Windsor Framework
  • Common difficulties and solutions
  • Practical exercises
  • Q&A including Transit Guarantees and leaving the CTC territory.

There is no assessment however delegates can use the time to work with simulated examples.

Costs:

Member’s fee:  £240 + VAT

Non-member’s fee: £320 + VAT

*Any cancellations must be confirmed via email to training@birmingham-chamber.com and must be given within 5 working days clear of the original event date. For any cancellations given less than 5 working days before the event, fees will not be refunded. This also counts for non-attendance. If the course is due to run again in the future, delegates can opt to transfer to the next available date. A £50 fee will still be issued to cover the costs already incurred.

*Please note, the aim is always to finish at the time provided above, but please allow extra time depending on how many delegates are on the course, as there may be more questions for the trainer to answer.

(We also offer training packages & bespoke training depending on what is most suitable for your company. Ask the team today about bulk bookings and discounts)
