The British American Business Council in the Midlands (BABC) invite you to attend a special “Doing Business in the USA” event. This event aims to demonstrate that expansion into the US is still both feasible and profitable in the current economic climate.
Why Consider the US?
With close language, cultural and political ties, the relationship between the UK and US offers huge potential for businesses on both sides of the Atlantic. Now is the right time to start looking at how you can gain market entry or develop your existing US marketing strategy.
Bringing together a selection of experts and case studies to share first-hand experience of the US Market, this event will provide you and your company with the knowledge and guidance to assist you in creating future success in this sophisticated, diverse and highly competitive market.
This event will be split into two panels addressing relevant business topics:
Panel I and Q&A: Understanding the US Market
In a time where trade and economic relationships are in state of recalibration why and when should a UK company review its U.S. growth strategy? Has current economic climate severely impacted the motives and timing to expand in to the U.S.? What indicators determine when a company should make the U.S. investment leap? The panel will discuss factors such as revenue growth, the need to meet customer expectations, pipeline contracts, UK and U.S. economic conditions, U.S. tax reform and tax and financial efficiencies as measures to inform expansion decisions.
Panel II and Q&A: Developing your U.S. market entry strategy – How do you do it?
The U.S. is a large and fragmented marketplace. This panel will offer practical information on how to approach U.S. expansion. Panelists will discuss legal, tax, accounting and insurance issues; understanding federal state support; choosing the right location; banking; and how to recruit and build the right U.S. team.
The formalities of the event will finish at 10:15am. Following the seminar there will also be networking opportunities to book one-to-one meetings with state representatives to discuss in further detail how they can assist your business.
