- Welcome & introductions: Meet the group; share what digital marketing experience (if any) you have. Set learning objectives and outcomes for the session
- SEO Basics: What is SEO? Why it matters for small businesses. Key concepts: keywords, on-page optimisation, page titles, meta descriptions, Google My Business. Activity: Identify a keyword for your business and review your homepage
- Email marketing essentials: What makes email marketing effective? Building a subscriber list legally (GDPR), choosing a tool (Mailchimp, MailerLite), types of campaigns (newsletters, promotions, follow-ups), open rates and calls to action. Activity: Plan a simple 3-email welcome series
- Introduction to paid ads: Overview of Google Ads and Facebook/Instagram Ads. Difference between organic and paid. How to start with a small budget. What targeting options are available. Activity: Sketch out a sample ad campaign with goal, platform and audience
- Quick wins & action planning: Recap of key tools and takeaways. Group discussion: which strategy makes the most sense for your business? Activity: Create a basic 7-day action plan – one step each for SEO, email and ads
- Wrap up: Share free tools & links. Invite feedback. Signpost further training e.g. full digital marketing course, platform specific deep dives

*Any cancellations must be confirmed via email to [email protected] and must be given within 5 working days clear of the original event date. For any cancellations given less than 5 working days before the event, fees will not be refunded. This also counts for non-attendance. If the course is due to run again in the future, delegates can opt to transfer to the next available date. A £50 fee will still be issued to cover the costs already incurred.
