Training course - is this course suitable for you?

Why should i sign up?

Did you know that mental health costs UK employers up to £56 billion each year? (Deloitte)

Did you know that only 29% of Managers believe they are confident and competent to spot the early warning signs of poor mental health? (MHFA England)

In a world of constant change and uncertainty, prioritising mental health and wellbeing has never been more important.

Strengthen your organisation's commitment to wellbeing by establishing a network of Mental Health First Aid Champions. Our evidence-based training equips individuals with the skills to recognise signs of poor mental health, the confidence to initiate meaningful conversations, and the knowledge to direct people to the appropriate support.

After the course, MHFA champions should be able to:

  • Recognise the main signs and symptoms of mental ill health
  • Provide initial help
  • Guide people towards appropriate professional help
  • Develop an understanding of how to help build a mentally healthy workplace, challenge stigma and support positive wellbeing
  • Manage their own wellbeing

Our one-day course will be delivered face-to-face at Chamber HQ in Birmingham. Learning takes place through a mix of presentations, group discussions and workshop activities.

Places are limited on the course so that the instructor can keep people safe and supported while they learn. Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided to each attendee along with all course materials.
