Sweco to provide engineering expertise to Central Hub projects

Sweco has been appointed by the Urban Growth Company (UGC) to deliver engineering and technical expertise for projects across the UK Central Hub in Solihull.

Under the three-year contract, Sweco will provide consultancy services and independent technical advice on critical transport infrastructure schemes, including highways and rail, major development and energy plans that are connected to the 1,300 hectares of mixed-use land.

The UK Central Hub is expected to deliver significant economic, environmental and social benefits for the West Midlands and beyond.

Large scale investments, such as the HS2 Interchange Station at the Arden Cross development site and the transformation of Birmingham International Station on the West Coast Mainline will play a key part in the area 's transformation.
