The Birmingham Whisky Club celebrated its 10th anniversary with a special members-only event.

Founded in 2011 to grow the whisky scene in the city, the club has expanded over the years to incorporate a year-round schedule of brand-led tastings, the globally-renowned 'Whisky Birmingham ' festival, and, in 2018, the opening of whisky bar Grain & Glass.

The company, owned by Amy Seton, helped to change the face of the city 's hospitality scene.

Amy, a then events and marketing professional, wanted to organise events that would bring exciting brands into the city for creative tasting events, who were at the time bypassing Birmingham in favour of places like Bristol, Leeds and Manchester.

Amy said: “Ten years ago the city was a very different place and whisky brands would actively bypass us in favour of other cities.

“I have always been a passionate advocate of Birmingham and wanted to be part of the change that was starting to happen. I 'm really proud that what was started all those years ago has contributed to Birmingham 's changing face, and how active and popular the Club remains after all these years. ”

The Birmingham Whisky Club has an active membership with discounts, special events and whiskies available at Grain & Glass in the Jewellery Quarter.

Non-members are welcome at the bar too.
