Flagship packaging event to host more than 300 suppliers
The UK 's flagship packaging event will bring the the industry together once more as Packaging Innovations and Empack 2022 will return to Birmingham 's NEC on 25 and 26 May.
Over the course of two days, professionals can experience the latest cutting-edge packaging technology, innovation, and design, as the event hosts over 300 industry-leading suppliers.
Visitors will also have access to a range of seminar discussions, competitions, and initiatives focused on reducing the environmental impact of the packaging industry and network with like-minded industry professionals face-to-face.
The Sustainability Trail, a brand-new feature for 2022, will highlight panel-approved 'green ' innovations shaping the future of the industry. From materials used to methods of waste management, the Sustainability Trail will help buyers quickly find the right product or service to drive the environmental performance of their next packaging project.
The event 's industry-led seminar programme will also take a strong sustainability focus. Both The Innovation and Design Stage and The Ecopack Stage will lead discussions on a range of 'green ' issues, including how to balance sustainability with external influence, the latest trends in eco-friendly design, and how to deal with the problem of waste.
Meanwhile, The Empack Stage will tackle challenges faced by manufacturing, processing, and logistics professionals, with subjects ranging from robotics to energy efficiency and e-fulfilment.
The Ecopack Challenge, a Dragons ' Den-style competition, will see entrants pitching their cutting-edge sustainable designs and packaging products. Judged by leading professionals from the likes of Ocado and Pret A Manger, the winner will apply a holistic approach to sustainability for their product to be recognised as a gamechanger in 'green ' packaging.
The event will gather exhibitors from all sectors under one roof, including contract packing and fulfilment, personal care, food and beverage, household, pharmaceutical and chemical, and label and print. Whether visitors specialise in initial product design and development, packing, filling or fulfilment, the event seeks to solve any issues for all professionals right across the supply chain.

Also in attendance will be suppliers such as Durham Box, GMG Color, Grenier Packaging, GTL Plastics, New Vision Packaging, TAWI, WePack, and Zakka Mutlitec will also be present at the NEC.
