Gateley is to become an official patron of Make Good Grow, a social enterprise that helps charities and good causes thrive.

The legal and professional services group, which has an office on Edmund Street in Birmingham, is the first business to pledge its support in line with its responsible business ethos.

Gateley will sign up to Make Good Grow 's social impact dashboard to monitor, measure and report on all of the positive work its people are doing. In addition, Gateley will get involved in the Pledge Marketplace, to help create huge, meaningful and measurable social impact value through the donation of professional services, meeting rooms, re-conditioned equipment and volunteering time for specific projects.

Rob Langley-Swain, managing director of Make Good Grow, said: "We are so pleased to be welcoming Gateley as our first Patron. They have been so supportive in what we're setting out to achieve and our aspirations and values are very much aligned, to make measurable positive change in our communities through supporting good causes.

“By utilising the social impact dashboard software Make Good Grow have developed, Gateley will also be putting the achievements of their people at the heart of their impact measurement and celebrating the commitment that individuals and teams are making.

“We can't wait to see how their pledges will positively affect the futures of grass roots community groups, charities and other not-for-profit organisations in our network and we hope that many more businesses will be inspired by Gateley's commitment and join us on our mission too."

Rod Waldie, chief executive of Gateley, said: “As a responsible business an important part of our purpose is to support the communities in which we operate. Where we 're based and the people that we work with are a vital part of conducting our business.

“One of the ways we achieve this is through our partnership with Make Good Grow to support good causes that will have a beneficial social impact to those that need it. By combining our passion for problem solving and innovation, we can be purpose led while also delivering results that delight our clients, inspire our people and support our communities. ”

Gateley launched its first Responsible Business report in 2021 aligned to the UK 's 14 Levelling Up Goals and organised into People, Potential and Planet. The report can be downloaded here: gateleyplc.com/about-us/responsible-gateley
