Leading packaging firm to sponsor Chamber awards

Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce 's annual dinner and awards has received high-profile backing from an international manufacturing firm.

Schumacher Packaging - a manufacturer of specialist packaging with links to Birmingham dating back more than 70 years - has agreed to become a headline sponsor for the awards dinner, which takes place at the ICC on Thursday 16 March.

The Marston Green-based firm joins headline partners Birmingham City Council in supporting the event.

Mike Owens, managing director of Schumacher Packaging, said: “Schumacher Packaging Birmingham is delighted and excited to be a headline sponsor for the 2023 Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce awards.

There are 12 sector awards up for grabs on the night.

  • Excellence in Sustainability - sponsored by South & City College Birmingham

  • Excellence in Third Sector - sponsored by Unity Trust Bank
  • Excellence in Training & Education - sponsored by University College Birmingham

The Greater Birmingham Business of the Year (sponsored by Crowe) will then be awarded to one of the winners of the sector categories.
