Chamber quarterly business survey launches
The Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC) Quarterly Business Report survey for Q4 launches this week and will end on 28 November.
The report, sponsored by Birmingham City University, is the most comprehensive regular report of its kind in the city region, offering an up-to-date snapshot of the performance of the Greater Birmingham business community.
As well as gathering the usual data on key indicators such as sales, exports, investment intentions and the workforce, the survey includes questions in relation to business travel and the effects of Brexit on firms.
Survey data will be collated at a national level and will feed into policy and lobbying activity for both GBCC and the British Chambers of Commerce, reaching institutions such as the Government and the Bank of England.
This quarter, Park Regis have teamed up with GBCC to provide respondents with a chance to win a meal for two with a bottle of wine at their Indus Restaurant (terms and conditions apply)
Beth Clewes, insight and intelligence services manager for the GBCC, said: “Q3 's Quarterly Business report revealed some concerning figures around the continuing rise in the cost of doing business, as well as persistent issues around inflation and recruitment difficulties. With this in mind, we 're really keen to hear from firms as to how business is going in Q4
“We 're looking for views from businesses of all sizes and from all sectors, and it 's important to get responses from as many businesses as we can so that we can get an accurate picture of what successes and challenges the local business community is experiencing right now.
“The results of the survey enable us at GBCC to represent local businesses, so I encourage anyone with an understanding of their organisation to take a few minutes to fill it out ”
