Rhlig UK Ltd recently hosted its annual Kick Off party at Hogarths Hotel in Solihull. The event was an opportunity for team members to celebrate their successes from the previous year and discuss plans for the upcoming year.

The day started with a lunch catered by Hogarths Hotel, which was followed by Team Talks from various leaders within the organisation. The UK managing director, Robert Lawry, started the talks by introducing the panel.

This was followed by a presentation delivered by The North European regional head of Finance, Daniel O'Connell, focusing on financial positioning. The head of Land and UK Transport, Pete Richardson, spoke about the development of the European Road freight product. Additionally, the UK Territory Business Development manager, Lucy Roberts, spoke about the sales development strategy, and the Sales and Marketing assistant, Rory Pickin, shared the upcoming year's marketing strategy.

Shortly after, Charlie Fogarty MBE, a motivational speaker, gave a speech that captivated the audience. The attendees were reportedly moved and inspired as Charlie shared his road to recovery and the challenges he faced along the way. His determination to overcome adversity and pursue his passion for football left an unforgettable impression on the team.

Rhlig UK's MD, Robert Lawry, invited Charlie to speak at the Kick Off party after seeing him deliver a talk at a Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce event last year. It's a testament to Charlie's impact as a motivational speaker, and Rhlig UK Ltd is grateful to have had the opportunity to hear his story. The team will keep his words with them as they continue to grow as a company - "Anything is Possible."

The day concluded with a competitive escape room activity, followed by an evening three course dinner, catered by Hogarths Hotel once again. The event included a photo booth and an awards ceremony.

The winners of the awards were Jill Parker for Employee of the Year, the Birmingham Branch based in Solihull for Branch of the Year, and Jo Westbrook-Lloyd, Joanne Simpson and Rory Pickin, who all won the Directors' Recognition and Excellence Award.
