IM Properties back Hike for Homeless
Birmingham-based property development and investment company IM Properties is backing the St Basils Hike for Homeless event - for the third year in a row.
This year 's hike will take place on Saturday 24th June against the stunning backdrop of the hills of the Peak District in Derbyshire.
The St Basils Hike for Homeless is a charity event which raises funds to help prevent youth homelessness.
Participants are sponsored by friends, family, and colleagues to take part in the challenge and raise money for a worthy cause while training and getting fit. The event has routes for everyone, including short, medium and long distances, all of which have stunning views of Mam Tor, Hope Valley, and Winnats Pass.
"We are thrilled to be supporting St Basils Hike for Homeless for the third year running," said Kerry Amory, Social Value Manager at IM Properties. "It's hugely rewarding, enjoying stunning scenery while also raising money for a charity which is a huge asset to the city, helping to empower young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
“Our long-standing relationship with St Basils, as one of our four social value partners on our Peddimore scheme in Birmingham, aligns perfectly with our Sustainable Futures framework for making a positive impact in the communities in which we operate. We would encourage everyone to register for this event and we look forward to joining other participants on the hike who understand the importance of making a difference."
As well as raising money, The St Basils Hike for Homeless is also committed to raising awareness of the issue of youth homelessness. By participating in the event, IM Properties hopes to encourage others to support St Basils and help make a difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.
The charity works with young people aged 16 to 25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, helping over 4,000 young people every year across the West Midlands.
