Chamber launches Quarterly Business Report survey
The Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC) Quarterly Business Report survey for Q2 launches today.
The report, sponsored by Birmingham City University, is the most comprehensive regular report of its kind in the city region, offering an up-to-date snapshot of the performance of the Greater Birmingham business community.
As well as gathering the usual data on key indicators such as sales, exports, investment intentions and the workforce, the survey includes questions in relation to the legacy of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Survey data will be collated at a national level and will feed into policy and lobbying activity for both GBCC and the British Chambers of Commerce, reaching institutions such as the Government and the Bank of England.
On average, the survey takes less than five minutes to complete.
Each participant will also be entered into a fabulous prize draw. The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Solihull are offering a Sunday lunch for four people in their Terrace Restaurant. Click here for more details (terms and conditions apply).
Raj Kandola (pictured), GBCC director of external affairs, said: “The results from last quarter 's survey showed a resurgence of concerns about inflation and recruitment challenges remain prevalent. However, there were some positive signs that the business community remains resilient to recent challenges as turnover and profitability projections went up looking at the year ahead.
“As we continue to work through a challenging economic climate both locally and nationally, it 's vital that we hear from as many firms as possible so we can properly assess the impact these political and economic developments are having on the local business landscape. The results of this survey form the basis of our Quarterly Business Report publication which we use inform decision makers and stakeholders across the region.
“Our findings are also shared with key Government contacts at the Treasury, BEIS and the Bank of England, so your response will have a direct impact on Government policy at the highest level.
“We want to hear from start-ups to multinationals; respondents don 't need to be a CEO or director to take part, just to have an understanding of how their business is performing. ”
