Accountancy firm relocates after year of record growth
Accountancy and business advisory firm SME Outsourcing has relocated to penthouse offices at Neville House in the heart of Edgbaston village after experiencing rapid levels of growth during the pandemic.
SME Outsourcing was established in October 2012 when multi-award winning businesswoman, accountant, and ABCC executive board committee member Amina Hussain (pictured) decided to leave her role at KPMG and set up her own accountancy practice, to provide an accounting, taxation and advisory service to the SME market.
During the last 17 months, SME Outsourcing has offered clients a free furlough service, a unique offering in the world of accountancy, as a show of support to the community during Covid-19.
The firm have also offered a free support service with bounce back loans, CBILS, small business grant applications.
Since then, the firm has been overwhelmed with new clients and business has quadrupled.
She said: “Over the last nine months, our firm has been overwhelmed with new clients and has quadrupled in turnover based on the level of support we have provided to our clients since the start of lockdown.
“SME Outsourcing has shown strong resilience during the Covid-19 period and has continued to support clients and add value to the services we provide. Our clients have also been referring their own contacts to us due to the satisfactory accountancy and business support service we provide.
“We took the decision to move to a more improved location, not only to motivate our current workforce by placing them in a more appealing and a more desirable environment to work in, but to also create jobs and attract more people to our firm.
“We currently have 12 employees, but due to demand we are looking to double our workforce in the next 12 months. ”
