A well-known social media agency has revealed a new name and identity - as it targets a bigger push into the world of TikTok.

Nonsensical is a social-first marketing agency, formerly known as Updates Media.

The agency was created by Oli Hills (pictured) and Sam Gillies, who have been running the successful Birmingham Updates and Best Of Bristol in their respective cities.

Having met in February 2020, they decided to merge and form a business specialising in social media.

With their own social media communities boasting a combined audience of more than 800,000 across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Twitter, Nonsensical has a solid foundation as an agency.

The firm has quickly expanded its team to 21 content creators and accrued a raft of clients.

TikTok specialist Matt Boland is heading up a growing TikTok team as Nonsensical looks to make a big push on a platform that is expected to reach 11 million UK users by September 2021.

Oli Hills, CEO of Nonsensical, said: “We 're in a unique position as a social media agency as we 've grown our own communities and proven that we 're at the cutting edge when it comes to social media.

“To now be able to offer these services to our clients gives them the expertise we 've built over the past four years.

“Nonsensical as a brand encompasses our deep understanding of social media and how to really generate engagement online.

“We 're very excited by the new talent we 've brought into the team and look forward to continuing to grow the agency. ”
