Swof Media is a creative marketing agency based in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter delivering services that drive and strengthen brand awareness, lead generation, and revenue growth for local organisations. We provide high impact websites, app design and development, and full-stack marketing across social media, email, and out-of-home channels.

Our long-standing relationship with Dignipets - originally a local veterinary hospice provider and now a national franchise needed a scalable digital mobile app that could guide owners through exceptionally difficult decisions concerning their pets’ quality of life, while also supporting rapid organisational growth.

The aim was to create technology that offered clarity, comfort, and meaningful support at a moment when pet owners feel most overwhelmed. This required a refined technical approach and deep emotional understanding of their target market.

We developed a first of its kind wellbeing and quality-of-life app designed specifically for pets receiving hospice or palliative care. Working closely with Dignipets’ veterinary specialists, our team created structured tools that help owners track symptoms, assess wellbeing, and make informed, compassionate decisions.

Alongside this, we built an online community that grew to hundreds of members within weeks, giving owners a safe, supportive space to share experiences.

We also provided strategic and operational support to help Dignipets prepare for launch, including product-led consultancy, growth planning, and ensuring the platform’s technical foundations could scale with their expanding franchise model.

Dignipets principal director Merel Taal said : “Swof has always understood the why, how, and what behind everything we do as a brand and company. Their genuine interest means you don't feel like you're working with a supplier, but rather an extension of your own team.” Merel Taal, Principal Director, Dignipets

With over 17 million households in the UK are pet owners; with the Dignipets app we can help those pet owners answer some of the toughest questions. Is it time? Is my pet’s health declining? How can I safely weigh my pet?

Users can access real-time guidance from resources created by qualified vets, many of whom have over 30 years’ experience.

Our client Dignipets app was developed specifically to address the isolation and uncertainty that owners experience when facing palliative care.

The success of the Dignipets platform demonstrates that technology can be a profound force for good when implemented with a deep understanding of the target market. Beyond the user-facing features, Swof Media provided the following strategic support:

• Product-Led consultancy: Aligning the digital roadmap with the unique requirements of hospice care.

• Operational scalability: Ensuring the technical foundations could support Dignipets’ transition from a local provider to a national franchise.

• Streamlined access: Developing a seamless booking experience to ensure families receive professional hospice support exactly when it is required.

A commitment to human impact

This project reflects the core values of Swof Media: long-term partnerships, meaningful community contribution, and digital innovation that delivers measurable human impact. As the Dignipets platform prepares for European expansion, it remains a testament to how local expertise in Birmingham can produce world-class digital solutions that improve the lives—and the peace of mind—of pet owners everywhere.
