Applications for Chamber Council 2022 enter final week
Nominations for the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce 's Chamber Council has entered its final week to apply.
Four seats are available on this year 's Council.
Chamber Council meets on a quarterly basis to discuss the latest national and regional political developments, and vote on priority themes.
They are also responsible for steering the work of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce 's Policy team.
Once elected, members can serve up to three consecutive three-year teams. During this time, members will promote the work of the Policy team, attend Chamber events, and share feedback from fellow Chamber members and business contacts at the meetings.
Henrietta Brealey (pictured), chief executive officer at Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, said: “Chamber Council play an important role in influencing the Chamber 's policy activity, acting as Chamber ambassadors, and engaging in constructive dialogue on key Chamber campaigns.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for business leaders across Birmingham to not only serve as a voice for the wider membership, but to also forge new connections and build their profiles across the Greater Birmingham business community. ”

The deadline is this Friday - 15 July, 5pm.
Applications received after this time will not be accepted.
To be eligible, applicants must be a member of the Birmingham division and be able to demonstrate that they have been nominated by two other members of the Birmingham division of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce.
Should the number of applicants exceed the number of seats available, an election will take place from Monday 18 - Friday 29 July. Successful candidates will be announced soon thereafter.
