Every day in Solihull, thousands of unpaid carers, the backbone of community care, get up to help someone they love without pay, rest, or recognition. They come in all ages, and they deserve support they can trust.

Carers Trust Solihull has announced that after 12 years of service their treasurer is retiring, leaving the charity with a secure future having helped to secure a new five-year contract with Solihull Council.

They are now seeking a new treasurer to take over the reins.

Candidates will bring clear judgment, sharp financial insight, and the confidence to guide a respected local charity through growth and change. Your decisions will help reach more carers, strengthen our sustainability, and protect vital support for families who depend on Carers Trust Solihull.

Brandon Scott-Omenka, CEO of Carers Trust Solihull, said: “The Treasurer’s role is a vital role for the Trust. We are looking for a new volunteer who shares our passion for our charity's goals, is willing to step into this role, and brings their own unique skills and experiences.

“We are open to someone from the business, public or charitable sector, currently in work or retired. They will receive support from our Chair of Trustees and me, including an induction, a formal handover from our current Treasurer, and any ongoing training required. Ability to prepare annual accounts would be desirable.”
