Celebrating cultural differences during Black History Month
Future Faces Chamber of Commerce (FF) will mark Black History Month with an event aimed at championing the variety of cultural differences found in the workplace.
The 'Celebrating Cultural Differences in the Workplace ' event will take place online on Tuesday 12 October between 5:30-6:30pm.
The professional development event will explore the importance of cultural diversity in the workplace, aside from being an increasing HR metric.
Discussions will include how diversity ultimately defines workplace culture and success, with 70 per cent of diverse organisations being in a better position to capture the markets and likely to earn 19 per cent more revenue compared to their competitors.
Attendees will hear from a range of professionals on their experience of being black in the modern workplace and will provide useful tips on how to celebrate our own differences, that being gender, ethnicity or disability.

Osita is a CIPD qualified Human Resource professional with 18 years ' experience spent specialising in employee relations, recruitment, training, mediation and diversity and inclusion. He has made the most impact by developing, influencing, implementing and managing diversity across various sectors from local authorities, housing, media, banking and most recently the infrastructure programme at HS2.
Avril (pictured) has extensive experience in positive behavioural change and is passionate about mental wellbeing and people achieving their best performance.
Avril has worked with individuals, teams and organisations and delivers dynamic training that achieves objectives and inspires lasting change.
She has also formed her own organisation AVision for Empowerment, a social enterprise that provides specialised training programmes for the empowerment and development of individuals towards personal and professional achievement.
Erica 's experience is in HR, working with employers to maximise the potential of their staff to support business growth and success.
