Chamber launches Excel training courses
The training department of Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC) is launching training courses on Microsoft Excel.
The trainings will be held at Chamber house on 27 July and 7 September from 9.15 am to 4.45 pm.
The training department is also running a 20 per cent discount for anyone who books the courses for both dates.
The course is an excellent starting point for any professional interested in learning about Excel from the beginning.
The primary application during the course uses Microsoft Excel 365, used for demonstration purposes throughout the day.
Attendees will receive a specially created Excel course file, which will be used practically, throughout the day. This file is for attendees to keep post course so they can benefit from this training long after the day ends.
This introductory course is suitable for those who have either never professionally used Excel (or any other spreadsheet package) before or for individuals who currently use Excel but are not confident using basic calculations.
Attendees of this course must have basic knowledge on opening, closing and saving files.
Speaking about the training course, international trade training manager Leah Quarmby said: “Excel is used in many industries, by many team members who have different levels of knowledge on the subject.
“Our introduction course covers everything you would need if you use Excel on an infrequent basis, or for those that have little knowledge and want to know more.
“If like me, you 'get by ' with your 'self 'taught ' knowledge on Excel and want to know more, this would be the session for you.
“If you use Excel more frequently and have confidence on the programme, our intermediate level could be just the added extra you are looking for.
“We wanted to add a course to our catalogue that would be suitable for any industry, at any level, this is the first of many! ”
