Chamber opens voting for executive council vacancies
The Solihull Chamber of Commerce recently asked for nominations to fill seven vacancies on the Solihull Chamber of Commerce Executive Council, which consisted of one vacancy for a Vice-President and 6 Executive Committee positions.
However, since the notification of vacancies they now have an additional two Executive Committee positions.
They received two nominations for the Vice-President position and 17 nominations for the eight Executive Committee positions by the closing deadline on 24 February.
As the number of candidates exceeds the number of vacancies, an online ballot will take place in advance of the AGM in accordance with the constitution, of which the outcome will be announced at the AGM on 31 March.
They are now inviting all eligible members (members of the Solihull Chamber of Commerce) to participate in an election to determine which of the candidates below will be elected to the vacant positions.
In line with the number of vacant positions, members may cast their vote as follows;
- Vice-President - one vote only (see candidates here)
- Executive Committee - one votes only (see candidates here)
It is important to note that they will only accept one vote per organisation. If multiple votes are received from the same membership number, the first vote submitted will count.
All votes will be treated confidentially, however for validation purposes it is required to provide your full name, company name and your membership number.
Samantha Frampton (pictured), head of the Solihull Chamber of Commerce, said: “I have been overwhelmed with the number of nominations received this year from the Solihull Chamber members applying to be on the Solihull Chamber Executive Committee.
“Good luck to those that have put themselves forward and I look forward to seeing everyone at the Solihull Chamber AGM on 31 March at Hogarth ' Hotel Solihull, where those elected will be announced. ”
