Chamber training course provides insight into free trade agreements
A new Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce training course will give participants an introduction to Free Trade Agreements – including the newly-introduced CPTPP (Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership).
The online course, ideal for any firms involved in imports and exports, will explore trade agreements and their impact on UK businesses.
It takes place on Monday 2 June.
Free Trade Agreements provide substantial benefits to participating nations and their economies.
The session will outline these advantages and highlight key considerations when trading with specific countries.
It covers agreements such as the CPTPP – a trade pact between 12 nations including Australia, Canada and Japan.

Training manager at the GBCC Leah Quarmby said: “A Free Trade Agreement aims to streamline the movement of goods and services across borders, strengthen economic cooperation, and boost competition.
“While these agreements offer numerous benefits, Brexit has led to uncertainty and raised questions about key provisions in some deals.
“Our half-day course will cover a range of essential topics and conclude with a Q&A session, allowing attendees to freely ask questions and gain valuable insights.”
