Executive council nominations open ahead of Chamber AGM
The Solihull Chamber of Commerce is inviting members to their Annual General Meeting (AGM) to review the Chamber 's activities and achievements during the last 12 months, as well as witness the election of new members to their executive council.
An important date in the Chamber's calendar, this year's AGM will take place on Friday 18 March 2022 between 10-12am at the Solihull Moors Football Club, The ARM Co Arena.
In the order of events will be the election of new executive council members who can either nominate themselves or be nominated by their peers.
The Chamber's executive council provides the Chamber with valuable feedback, which influences its strategy and business plan. It also provides representatives to other groups and committees in Solihull, Birmingham and the West Midlands and is a forum to ensure that the voice of Solihull business is heard locally and regionally.
There are 5 vacancies for election to the Executive Council as noted on the papers:
Stephen Rome, Amanda Holden and Andy Cole have all served a two-year term and under the constitution will retire at the AGM or offer themselves for re-election.
Mick Westman and Stuart Watson have completed their two-year term as Vice Presidents and under the constitution will be offering themselves for re-election as a voting member of the Executive Council. So there will be 2 Vice President vacancies for which nominations can also be made.
