Forum examines Gymshark 's approach to good business
Global fitness brand Gymshark 's approach to social value and community engagement will come under the spotlight when Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce 's Good Business Forum returns next month.
Kelly Collumb (pictured), wellbeing, diversity and inclusion manager at the Solihull-headquartered fitness brand, will be sharing a case study of the company 's approach to good business practices.
The event - run by the GBCC in partnership with University of Birmingham - takes place at the Edgbaston Park Hotel on 19 April (3pm to 5pm).
The Good Business Forum is a quarterly forum for GBCC members to explore how and why businesses are tackling Environmental & Social Governance.
Also speaking at next month 's event is Professor Ian Thomson - Professor of Accounting and Sustainability at the University of Birmingham Business School and director of the Lloyds Banking Centre for Responsible Business - who will be providing an overview of how the latest research and insight on this agenda translates into business practice.
Delegates will also hear from Helen Miles, head of corporate partnerships at Birmingham Women 's & Children 's Hospital Charity, with a case study of how the charity works with employers on creating positive social impact.
Feedback from the 2022 Good Business Forum events revealed 86 per cent of delegates learned something new that they could directly apply in their organisation or role. Meanwhile, 93 per cent made new contacts.
Henrietta Brealey, chief executive of the GBCC and co-chair of the Good Business Forum, said: “I 'm delighted at how this forum has grown into a lively space for members to share ideas, good practice and build networks on this topical agenda.
“This session will bring together the latest in how academic insight translates into day to day practice alongside case studies from two high profile organisations with local roots.
“Wherever your organisation is on its Good Business journey, I 'd encourage you to come along and see what ideas and new connections this forum might generate. ”
