Games workforce take on adventure theme park
Employees from the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games have taken on team building activities at Bear Grylls Adventure, located at the NEC.
The B2022 senior leadership team took on High Ropes, Escape Rooms, the Assault Course, and a number of other ice breaker challenges at the adventure theme park to work on the core skills of resilience, teamwork, and communication across the attraction 's unique activities.
Hayley Roach, training functional manager at Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games said: “Thank you for everything! I 've loved delivering a unique training experience at The Bear Grylls Adventure to our workforce. Everyone has loved it! We have prepared our workforce as best we can; we certainly challenged them.
“Memorable moments include the engagement and participation of the most senior directors of B2022, whom have multiple years of experience in delivering international sporting events, and who embraced T.E.A.M! T.E.A.M has been a huge part of my world and I will miss it! Hopefully, we will make Birmingham proud and deliver an amazing Games. ”
The Bear Grylls Adventure is expected to deliver visitation of approximately 120,000 guests across 2022.
Though the attraction 's primary focus is on guests within a one-hour drivetime, wider national promotions with partners such as Kelloggs, Cadbury 's, and The Sun drive visitation from the UK as a whole. The Sun campaign alone - which runs annually - drives visitation of at least 16,000 guests from across the country to the attraction.
This significant national promotion increases tourism to Solihull and the surrounding area, with guests of The Bear Grylls Adventure using their visit to take in the local area, and rest at regional hotels.
The attraction offers guests the opportunity to try a range of activities, all capturing the adventure ethos that is so keenly aligned with the attraction 's namesake Bear Grylls.
Since the relaxing of Covid restrictions, The Bear Grylls Adventure has consistently welcomed group bookings to the attraction, driving sales across school visits, corporate teambuilding, youth groups and birthday, hen and stag parties.
Numerous Buy Out Days have been secured by the attraction, such as the Games employee team building.
From Europe 's tallest High Ropes to the Royal Marines-inspired Assault Course, The Bear Grylls Adventure boasts an array of activities to challenge adventurers of all ages, abilities and experience levels.
